Review and Audit

Michael provides a review service, in which pre-built models are examined for issues such as:

• Accuracy of the calculations
• Appropriateness of the model formulation for the decision at hand
• Improvement potential in reformulating, restructuring or rebuilding the model

Often a brief review of a model by a fresh pair of eyes can yield a multitude of possible improvement possibilities. Sometimes fairly small interventions to improve some key cosmetic aspects of a model can be very powerful in improving a model’s transparency. Larger interventions may involve rebuilding parts of the model to improve flexibility in certain areas, whereas in other cases, a client’s objectives can best be achieved by the building of a new model that is appropriately adapted to the situation at hand.
