Simulation and Risk Modelling
Michael works extensively with Excel add-ins to perform simulation modelling for risk analysis, especially @RISK and ModelRisk. He is by an order of magnitude the most experienced instructor in Europe of @RISK, having taught over 2000 people in more than 300 seminars since 2004.
Michael’s courses in these areas tend to focus on learning the software “by osmosis”; solving real life modelling applications through hands-on exercises using the software allows one to assimilate the relevant concepts in modelling and statistics whilst learning the software almost without realising it. For example, the learning of core applications, such as cost budgetting, risk-registers and cash flow modelling provides a very robust way to learn most software features, including discussions around the selection of distributions and dependency modelling (correlation, copulas and other relationships), as well as topics in model auditing, sensitivity analysis, optimisation, decision-making, real options, and statistical analysis.
Courses can be held over the internet or in-house at any location globally. Contact us to find out more.
